Adjust The Distance Between Text And Bullets In Word

Bulleted lists can be difficult to work with, especially when it comes to adjusting the text and margins. For example, getting all the in a list text correctly lined up can be frustrating. You can try playing with the markers on the ruler; however a much simpler method is to use the Bullets and Numbering dialog box as described below.
To adjust the distance between bullets and text:
- Highlight the appropriate bulleted list(s). Use the [Ctrl] key to select multiple lists.
- Right-click the list and click Bullets And Numbering.
- Verify that the Bulleted tab.
- Under Text position, use the up and down arrow beside the Tab Space After option to set the correct distance from the bullet.
- Use the up and down arrow beside the Indent At option to correctly indent the text.
- Click OK twice to close the open dialog boxes.
