In my daily work, I constantly find interesting Web sites, and sometimes I want to share my discoveries with others. This can be done by blogging, but I also use e-mail to spread these finds to my contacts. If you’ve ever sent a URL via e-mail, then you know that sometimes length can be an issue. Top-level domain names are usually fine, but once you start targeting files in specific directories, then things begin to quickly get out hand. The addresses can become garbled and messy looking, which could lead to an ineffective link. In this case, shorter is better, so shorten the URL’s with soo.in before you pass them out like hot potatoes.

This function is rather basic, and there really isn’t much to see here, but then again, you came to the site for one reason (to shorten a URL), and you’ll be able to do what you need to do. Paste the lengthy address into the textbox, click the button, and voila - you’re done. Just like that, the forgettable address will have been transformed into a memorable one based off of the soo.in domain.
