A Lockergnome reader recently asked me how to create a shortcut to Windows XP’s Calculator program. If you have a calculator button on your keyboard, such a shortcut may not be useful. However, if you don’t have such a button and frequently use the Calculator program, you might find it handy to have a shortcut to the Calculator program on your desktop.
To create a desktop shortcut to the Calculator program:
- Right click a blank area on your desktop, point to New and click Shortcut.
- From the Create Shortcut window, type in “calc” and click Next.
- Type in a name for the shortcut.
- Click Finish.
