Have you heard of Spore?

Spore is the next big thing from game whiz Will Wright.

It’s due to be released in about a year, but the hype is already flowing like beer at a frat party.

With that in mind, today’s Family First pick is a site that gets the juices flowing about the upcoming rage that is just around the corner.

It’s called SporeFan. It’s early in development, but look for it to be a hot site as the game itself gets closer to being released, and afterward.

So, what’s it all REALLY about? Read the fan forums to see how rabid these folks are about this game that, really, doesn’t even exist yet.

The game is all about evolving into better and better competitors. And we’re talking SERIOUS evolution, as in developing tiny eyes to see with, sharp teeth to get prey, etc.

Don’t worry, creationists, it’s all in fun. No need to start any debates. It’s just a game!

Anyhow, the concept behind Spore is pretty fascinating. You begin your journey in a 2D microscopic world situated in a single drop of water. Eventually, you evolve into a critter that can survive in a 3D world. You have to decide whether to remain a water creature, or grow y’self some legs and start walking.
