My family is famous for our respect for food, and I’m no exception. If we’re not eating it, then we’ll find a way to slide the topic into a conversation. With so many culinary choices available to us, there’s definitely no shortage of tasty treats to snack on. Just talking about the mere idea of food is making me hungry, especially since I still haven’t eaten anything this morning. Now, I can eat food with the best of ‘em, but when it comes time to actually prepare something, I’m as clueless as can be. I’m sure that I could follow instructions for a recipe, though, right? Possibly. Either way, since I’m preparing to make an important move, I need to start getting educated in the kitchen, and it sure wouldn’t hurt me to become familiar with a variety of simple recipes. Dine52 allows users to share and tag recipe and food bookmarks.

The site strongly resembles a number of social bookmarking services, but it’s distributed under the guise of food. The technology may not be anything new, but the genre for which it’s focused is what helps it standout, albeit only slightly. Search for meals, ingredients, cooking methods, or anything else that you’re curious about, and see what other users have found and stored in their personal bookmarks. This is the last time that I’ll feature one of these social bookmarking services… until next week.

I like the idea of QR Codes, I just can’t find a good QR reader on the iPhone.
