My Journey With Vista III

Posted by on Jun 22, 2006 | No Comments

We meet again. First things first. I was a bit remiss when I mentioned my friend James in my posting yesterday. I did not provide a link to his writings. Look at what James is doing by visiting his site. He has a Vista page located there that discusses dual boot with Vista.

You all probably expect that I have Vista up and running by now, but you would be wrong. Every time I start to install, something else comes up. Yesterday my friend got a new cell phone and I had to give lessons. Then of course, the boys were done at the groomers and into the car, and down the road to Judy’s house I went. Of course, then the Netherlands played Argentina and you couldn’t have blown me out of my chair with a firecracker!

Today I have one appointment, so I should be good to go. Not much news in this post, but I had to correct my oversight in not linking to my buddy James.

If you are following along with me during this install, do me one big favor… BACK UP! Nothing could be more important in this endeavor than to BACK UP!

Come “bleep” and high water, Vista will be on my machine by the end of today. I am not guaranteeing that it will be “running,” but it will exist on one of my hard drives.

My post tomorrow should have lots to say and I truly hope that most of it is good. Any of you installing Vista or those who have already installed it, please send me any of your thoughts. I’m sure my readers will appreciate any and all input. See you then, and go visit James.
