Use Double Spaces In Your Document (Word 2002)

A Lockergnome reader recently asked me how to use double spacing in a Word document. There are two methods that you can use. The first method requires you to make a small configuration change to Word as described in the steps below.
- Open your Word document.
- From the Format menu, click Paragraph.
- Verify that the Indents and Spacing tab is selected.
- Use the drop down arrow under Line spacing and click Double.
- Click OK.
The second method for setting your line spacing to double is to use the keyboard. Hold down the CTRL key and press 2 for double spacing, press 1 to switch back to single spacing, and press 5 to use one-and-a-half line spacing.
