Move Multiple Objects Or Drawings At Once (Word)

Word includes the Drawing toolbar that allows you to create your own drawings. Drawings can consist of shapes, lines, arrows, clip art, and so on. Most drawings will include multiple objects.

One of the problems you can run into when working with drawings that include multiple objects is how to resize or move them. For example, if you need to reposition your drawing, each of the objects needs to be moved.

A simpler method of resizing or repositioning a drawing is to group all the objects using the steps below:

  1. Click an object within the drawing.

  2. Hold down the Shift key and click the remaining objects so they are all selected.
  3. Right click the objects, point to Grouping, and click Group.

You can now move or resize all the objects in the drawing at once. You can easily ungroup the objects again if you need to work with a single object in the drawing. Simply repeat step 3 as described above but this time you will click the Ungroup option.
