Change The Number Of Calendar Days That Appear In Outlook Today (Outlook 2002)

By default, when you open Microsoft Outlook, the Outlook Today Pane is displayed. One of the columns that are displayed in the pane is the Calendar column. The column lists the next five days of your calendar and any appointments you have scheduled during these days.

The Calendar list can be customized if the default does not meet your requirements. For example, you can have just the current calendar day displayed instead of the next 5 days. You can customize how Outlook Today displays your calendar by completing the steps listed below.

  1. From the Outlook Today Pane, click Customize Outlook Today.

  2. In the Calendar section, use the drop down arrow to specify the number of calendar days to display. You can select any value between 1 and 7.
  3. Click Save Changes.

Here is something I’ve struggled with in Outlook Today (2003). On some days I don’t have any meeting/appointments scheduled so Outlook will show the next day that I have a meeting scheduled.

Example:
Today is Tuesday (nothing scheduled)
I have meetings set up on Wednesday and Thursday.

Outlook Today will display Wednesday and Thursday and my busy brain confuses itself thinking that Wednesday’s 9:30am appointment is actually happening today.

I wish there was a way that Outlook Today could display Tuesday and state “No Scheduled Appointments Today” or just display Tuesday and keep it blank.

Anyone know how to do this?
