Disable Caching Of Domain Passwords (95/98/ME)

If you want users to re-enter their passwords each time they access domain resources, you can disable the caching of domain passwords. Since it does require you to make a change to the registry, you should first backup your computer and use caution when performing the steps listed below.

  1. Click Start and click Run.

  2. Type regedit and click OK.
  3. Expand the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\Logon.
  4. Create a new DWORD value called NoDomainPwdCaching.
  5. Set the value to “0″ for disabled.
  6. Close the Registry Editor.
