XP To Get Full FireWire 800 Support

Sources from the 1394 Trad Association has told SvenOnTech that it has just confirmed that Micrsoft will have full support for 1394b or FireWire 800. The support should be available by the end of the year. This means it will be available outside of Windows Vista, Microsoft’s next operating system update. Details are not available as to if this added support will be in the form of a seperate download or part of a service pack.
It was also confirmed that Vista will include full support for FireWire 800 as well, but no details were given to when and if it will appear in the first release of the delayed updated operating system.
