Free Brain Speed Test

So, how fast is YOUR brain?

A lot is made of IQ. For instance, Mensa, the association of folks with above-average intelligence, won’t let you in without a certified high IQ.

But there’s another area of brain performance: brain speed.

Today’s Family First site is PositScience’s Free Brain Speed Test. I heartily recommend that you take a few minutes and give it a shot. You may find it quite enlightening.

The site has a noble mission. You see, it recognizes that a brain is a MUSCLE - one that needs regular exercise to keep in top-notch shape.

I have long recognized the importance of mental exercise. Both of my parents were tragically ravaged by Alzheimer’s disease in their twilight years. That makes me a prime candidate to follow in their footsteps. However, I am fortunate to be employed in a field (Information Technology) that demands that I constantly learn new things. As long as I keep cramming new information into my bald cranium, the likelihood that my brain will someday succumb to the scourge of dementia is lessened.

These folks are selling software for the purpose of exercising that old gray matter. The software is a bit pricey ($499), but an excellent investment in long-term health.

But the speed test sample is completely free, and VERY educational. I recommend taking the test, reading up on how you can improve, then trying it again.

Oh, one last thing. My age range (40s) was the FASTEST thinking group out there! ‘Attaboy, fellow Boomers!
