You can quickly reposition a table in Word by switching to Print Layout view. Create your table with the required number of columns and rows. To switch views, click the View menu and click the Print Layout option.
Now when you move the mouse pointer over your table, you will notice a four headed arrow appear in the top left hand corner. This is the handle used to move the table. Move the mouse pointer over the handle. While holding down the mouse button, drag the table to where you want it positioned.
