Force Delete

Sometimes you have files that you just want to get rid of. The problem is that your computer thinks you are still using them or you still need them. The solution? Download Force Delete.

Here is what the developer of Force Delete has to say.

This program’s purpose is to remove files or force deletion of files that may be used by other programs and cannot be normally deleted. Notice that there are cases when file deletion is impossible. Can integrate with Internet Explorer; after that, you can delete a file by right-pressing on it and selecting Force Delete.

Now you can get rid of those annoying files that you wouldn’t be able to get rid of before. Make sure that you are only deleting files that won’t get you in trouble. System files and dangerous things of that matter shouldn’t be messed with.

So is your computer hanging on you? Give Force Delete a shot and get rid of that file that is annoying you.

None of the listed links work. Is there a working link?

  7. Jeff says:

It would be useful if the LINKS worked.
    Going to ftp://mirrors.aol.com/pub/cica/pc/winxp/dskutil/ForceDelete.zip
is giving me the error message :

    550/pub/cica/pc/winxp/dskutil/ForceDelete.zip:No such file or directory

Clearly that file is not there!

I’ve got some files (powerpoint) that cannot be deleted using any of the several methods I’ve seen online – have used Unlocked, MoveonBoot, and tried deleting from DOS prompt (with and without explorer.exe running). I can move it using Unlocked (but not to Recycle Bin), that’s about it. I have even gone into Windows Registry and used the Rename function there, doesn’t work. Any more ideas?

  12. Marcel says:

    http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ worked better for me.
I ‘had’ a file which ‘force delete’ couldn’t delete. Unlocker did the job!

  13. Antonio Zighelboim says:

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO FORCE DELETE A LAN CONNECTION?

  14. Anthony says:

http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ worked and is the only real one here

  15. MC says:

    Hi Mitch,

Thank you so much for this unlocker software. It is very helpful indeed.

    Thank you very much.

  16. Michael says:

WARNING ABOUT UNLOCKER: According to Norton 360, the file unlocker.exe on that site is known to contain a virus and two trojan applications.

  17. Nick says:

Thanks. I’ve had a trojan/virus attatched file that i couldnt delete and this got rid of it. Now its time to restart my computer and see if the problem is solved. :)
