In Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, you may experience unexpected behavior when you rewind or fast forward through a DVD slide show. For example, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
- The progress indicator timeline loops between 00:00:00 and 00:00:07 seconds, even though the images progress forward as you expect.
- The rewind operation or the fast forward operation stops on a single picture.
- When you pass from one slide show picture to the next, you cannot return to the previous picture.
This problem may occur if the DVD slide show contains more than 99 pictures.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the “Applies to” section.
In Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, you can only create a DVD slide show that contains up to 99 pictures. However, Media Center can play a DVD slide show that contains more than 99 pictures. If you have installed Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, and you can create a DVD slide show in Media Center, you can create a slide show that contains up to 999 pictures.
