This site was reviewed a long time ago (2001, to be exact), but it has expanded so much since then that I feel it deserves a second review.

It’s the Internet Movie Database. This is quite simply the ultimate movie lover’s Web site!

I’m not sure how many movies are represented here, but it’s definitely in the thousands. The famous movies are well represented, as well as the obscure. For instance, it has an awful b-movie I saw in a drive-in when I was fourteen years old called “The Dirt Gang!” Not only that, but the horrible flick even has reader comments (including mine).

You can find out every single detail of a movie that matters, including full cast and crew, awards and nominations, box office numbers, and fun stuff like goofs and trivia. A movie’s most memorable lines are also quoted.

What makes this site stand out head and shoulders above the rest is this: the amazingly well-thought ratings given to the films by its registered members.

These people know great movies when they see them. They also smell critical darlings that are stinkers.
