Your Christmas Wish Lists to Santa

Good stuff, all around. You sent me your wish lists (thousands of ‘em, actually). Lots of iPods, PSPs, and Xbox 360s. The good news is that even if you don’t get one this year (from me or anyone else), we’ll be giving ‘em away throughout 2006 on The Chris Pirillo Show. So, what else was on your respective wish lists? Let’s find out! Mind you, these aren’t necessarily the items that Santa Chris has picked - but I thought the following submissions were unique enough to be shared with the rest of the Gnomie galaxy:
Greg Hughes’ Wish List: “My fashionably late wishlist consists of Dragon’s Lair - and while I’d like to find a standup arcade console from someone and restore it one of these days, for now I can settle for a copy of Dragon’s Lair 3D for the XBox, even though it’s old. There ya go.
Nostalgia and all that, ya know. That was the game that I really liked. And Defender. And Galaga. In that order. And Asteroids, the original one.”
Eric Vice’s Wish List: “My ultimate dream (on the scale of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition) that would make me purr like a kitten for years on end would be a Yamaha P-250 electronic stage piano. Some people are synth nuts, but this thing is the UBER stage piano. This is as good of a piano as you can get without actually having strings. This thing is big and heavy and is the Cadillac of piano synthesis. I have been a pianist without a piano since I left home because none of the places I’ve lived in have been big enough for a piano.”
Ken Hayden’s Wish List: “I would like all manuals to include step-by-step usage instructions rather than (or in addition to) the cryptic usage guides such as this… ‘If your picture is showing horizontal pixelazation, you must download and install the updated device drivers needed to connect this “FrableSpinner” to your specific video card and don’t forget adjust your settings according to the monitor limitations. Remember, if you are tying to install this product over an older version of…’ and so on, ad nauseam.”
Steve Crooks’ Wish List: “A new set of geek ‘free-type’ t-shirts, size large. I used to pick these up at various conferences, but I haven’t been traveling for a while so I’m running short. I only wear them at home when relaxing or when mowing — stuff like that. But they’re comfy and I never care about messing them up. I even have a Lockergnome shirt I wear once in a while.”
Ron Gould’s Wish List: “I would really like to have a voice recorder that is pocket sized. I have been using a cassette recorder for over six years and it doesn’t fit my pocket. In addition, it doesn’t interface to my computer so I can’t transfer voice files into Dragon Naturally Speaking for transcription. I am writing a novel and use the recorder to keep notes about the story as I go about my regular job, which is managing a flower shop and making sure all of the orders get filled and delivered.”
Paul Aitchison’s Wish List: “I do believe in Christmas, Santa and the season of giving. Chris I have only one wish, and that would be that all mankind (womankind, too) would honour, understand and get along with their fellow inhabitants of this world. If you could give this present to me, you would become the real Santa not just a virtual Santa. Merry Christmas to you and yours and a prosperous and loving New Year.”
A Gnomie named Jeff’s Wish List: “My son sent you a letter addressed simply ‘Santa, North Pole.’ Since Christmas is a time of magic I assured him the letter will arrive safely, please consider that at age seven a ‘real live racecar’ is not a good option. While you are spreading ‘goodwill to all,’ I would ask for a few wishes of my own, vis. 1. That the entire Middle East could realize shooting at your neighbour is not a good way to foster peace. 2. That those who control the world’s oil companies understand their grandchildren will need heating too. 3. That what the world spends on weapons in one day could be spent on food aid.”
So, we’ll all see what Santa Chris was able to pull off soon enough.

Santa Claus: Nov 10, 2007
My name is Celeste Mota, I’m eighteen years old im the youngest of my siblings. A couple of years ago my mother sent me to study out of the country and in that country I feel in love with this person with whom I had a beautiful baby girl whose name is Angeline. he’s not able to enter the country or help us economically, so at the moment she’s my angel and she is all I live for.
I returned to new York city and im going through a lot of problems because I feel as if I daughter doesn’t have what she deserves. At the moment Angeline n I sleep in a twin bed, because I haven’t been able to buy her a crib or many of her necessities. At this point I notices that all the advice my mother would tell me would have been worth while if I would have listened I’ve also noticed the great responsibility it is to have a child as well as being one.
My worst fear at the moment is the great risk I take by sleeping with her, I would really appreciate it if my daughter could have her own lifetime crib or at least her our own bedroom set, she needs a coat and some clothing at the moment she wears 18 month old cloth.
I also have two cousins John,12, and Claritza, 7, whose Santa Claus (their father) died almost a year ago. I’m sure they’ll love it if santa would appear at our home the 24th of December. Claritza want a pink two wheeler (bike) she’s a size 10 in clothing and 5.5 in sneakers. John want a mp3 player he is a size 12 in clothing and 5.5 in sneakers. I am overweight and wish to beautify myself with a Playstation2 game called “Dance Dance Revolution”. Thank you so much, Santa, for your cooperation.
Our address:

Sincerely,
Celeste Mota
