Everybody wants money these days - have you noticed?
That’s why today’s site is such a refreshing relief. It’s a collection of FREE software! Here, let it do the intro:
“The Complete Freeware Collection is a collection of hand-chosen, freeware applications which, when combined, make for a complete software package to meet any and all of your day to day software needs. The whole idea of my creating this not so much to create a ‘best freeware’ list, but to illustrate that when you get right down to it, all you really need is to spring for an operating system. After that, you really do not have to spend one cent on software.”
You know, Microsoft has us believing that we can’t operate on a day-to-day basis without its expensive operating systems, office suites, Web developing suites, programming suites, etc. Well, as a matter of fact, there are lots of free alternatives that fill virtually every niche that has, up until now, been dominated by Gates and company.
For instance, are you using Outlook or Outlook Express for your e-mail? Well, you are using the single most attacked-by-hackers e-mail reader. Why not give Thunderbird a try? You’ll lose none of the functionality, but will gain huge security benefits. The program is, of course, mentioned prominently here.
