From Computer Screen To Solid Object

It’s easy to envision the process of creating products directly from computer files… when you’re simply printing t-shirts or other promotional items. But what about when you need to create a product in three dimensions, completely from scratch? How do you get from the idea in your head to a computer file to a real live reach out and touch it physical prototype?

The process is referred to as rapid prototyping.

How cool would it be to instantly send a copy of the prototype to a location on the other side of the country? How about the other side of the world?
