The E-Mail Time Capsule

What do you want to be doing in five years? How about twenty years? I know I probably sound like a potential employer, but the truth is that questions like the ones above are important to consider from time to time in order to make sure that you have some very specific goals in mind. Some people would love to look back at their life in a few years and be glad that they changed what they were doing now. Of course, if you’re still in the same cesspool of inactivity, you’re probably not going to want to pay attention to reality. Either way, The E-Mail Time Capsule will allow your future self to get a message from your current self.
This service is provided by Forbes, and until November 30th, 2005, they’ll be collecting thousands of these e-mail messages to deliver in the future. The time period in which to deliver the messages is somewhat customizable, but not overly so. The question that begs to be asked, though, is will you really still have the same e-mail address twenty years from now? If so, this would be a fairly retro project to take part in.
