HelpFox

There’s a new kid on the search engine block. It’s called HelpFox.

HelpFox is a new concept in search engines. You type in a search term and get back all sorts of results, including Wikipedia definitions, dictionary definitions, blog entries, shopping links, maps, and who knows what else. It all depends on what you type in.

One thing’s for certain, though. You’re going to get a lot of info!

Here’s a cool trick to try: type anything-you-want.firefox.com into your browser’s address bar. Watch what happens! For example, try hurricane.helpfox.com.

Once you type in a term, click the various links at the top, including News, Links, Blog, Photos, Shopping, and Jobs. Visit the Preferences section to turn yellow highlighting on and off. You can also determine which section is the default page.

Here’s something else nifty. The site not only keeps track of all the latest searches, but it also keeps a list of your recent searches. This is very useful so you can come back to the site later and revisit your previous searches.

HelpFox is in beta, so return often to see improvements, changes, etc.
