November 4, 1922
King Tut (Tutankhamun) was Pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, ruling from 1334 BCE to1323 BCE. In historical terms, Tut is of only moderate significance. But he is famous today because of the 1922 discovery by Howard Carter of his nearly intact tomb.
