You can configure logon scripts to run on a local computer that is not a member of a domain. By doing so, the script that you specify will run when a user logs on to the local computer. You can enable logon scripts using the group policy editor.
You can follow the steps to assign user logon scripts.
- Click Start and click Run.
- Type gpedit.msc and Click OK.
- Expand the following: User Configuration\Windows Settings\Scripts (Logon/Logoff).
- In the details pane, double click Logon.
- Click Add.
- Click Browse to locate the script you want to use and click Open.
- Click OK.
- Type in any script parameters you want to use and Click OK.
- Click OK.
Now when a user logs onto the local computer, the logon script will automatically run.
