How To Edit A Shared Workbook

A shared workbook can be edited by multiple users at the same time. This way you do not need to keep multiple copies of the same Excel spreadsheet if input from more than one user is required.

To edit a shared workbook, you must first locate and open it from its network location. Then from the Tools menu, click Options. Select the General tab and type in your user name within the User name box. This information is used to identify your work within the shared workbook.

Enter in the necessary data. Once you are complete, click the Save button on the toolbar. Your changes will be saved to the workbook and other users will be able to view them.
