It’s been so long since I dressed up as anything for Halloween. The other day, Ponzi tells me that she’s going to “go” as a cat. This will be our first Halloween in this neighborhood, so we’re not sure if it’s worth getting dressed up yet. If trick-or-treaters come on this Beggar’s Night, then they’re in for one sweet treat. She made her own cat costume - and if she was going to be a cat, then I was going to be a dog. The dalmation outfit was lovingly assembled from felt circles and a sweatsuit. Wicket is going as a monster, and Pixie is a little ballerina. The whole family is dolled up for this year’s spooky Halloween festivities - even if it’s just the four of us celebrating in our neck of the woods:
I’m hoping that we’ll get at least one or two kids knocking on our door. Otherwise, I’ll be forced to eat all the candy in the gigantic candy bowl (which has already been safety-inspected by my grubby little paws). I probably won’t eat the treats because they’re partially hydrogenated, but the wrapped confectionaries will certainly ruin Ponzi’s appetite for the next month and a half. What’s your Halloween costume this year? Did you even bother to dress up, or are you “too old” for that kind of silly behavior?
