Do you want an audio player that doesn’t play well with others? Do you want one with a bad attitude? Do you want one that is just plain evil? Well then I have the audio experience that you have been waiting for. The Evil Player claims to be evil in its name. Is it really evil, though?
Here is what the folks at the Evil Player Web site have to say:
Evil Player is a fast, powerful and flexible media player for windows. Some of Evil Player’s key features include Shoutcast, Icecast and Icecast2 support, low memory footprint and native support for several popular formats (MP3, MP2, MP1, OGG, AIFF and MOD).
Some of the other features include: ease of use, small, supports WAV, OGG, MP1, MP2, MP3, MOD, XM, IT, S3M, MTM, UMX, MO3, supports BASS plug-ins, low memory footprint, radio streaming (SHOUTcast/ICEcast/ICEcast2), and SHOUTcast recording. My favorite feature is that you get all of this without having to pay one penny at all. It is totally free.
So there you have it; I have yet to figure out what is so evil about this player. Maybe it likes to appear to be the tough guy, but on the inside it has a heart of gold. I would say it is one of the better audio experiences I’ve had with an alternative audio player, but I don’t want to ruin the Evil Player’s reputation.
