Quickly Open The Shared Folders Snap-In (XP)

The Shared Folders snap-in is the main utility used for managing your shared folders in Windows XP. Typically you would access the snap-in through the Computer Management console. Once you click on the Shared Folders snap-in within the Computer Management console, three folders are displayed in the Details pane: Shared, Sessions, and Open files.

If you frequently access the Shared Folders snap-in, you may be interested in knowing a faster way of accessing it instead of going Start | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Computer Management.

Simply click Start, click Run, type fsmgmt.msc, click OK, and the Shared Folders snap-in will immediately appear.
