How much are you paying to print your digital photos? If you’re forking out 29 cents or more per 4″x6″ print, you’re probably paying too much. (How about 2X or more!) I updated my chart of online digital photo print pricing today with pricing data at over two dozen vendors, with all the info on 4″x6″, 5″x7″, 8″x10″, and 11″x14″ pricing (and shipping) in one place. So how cheap does it get, you ask?

In short: photo print prices continue to trend downward. Marketing pressures have prompted aggressive vendors to drop their prices on 4″ x 6″ prints down to 12¢ and below.

Once I finished compiling the photo print prices this afternoon, I plugged the data into a spreadsheet to come up with average and median pricing.

Here’s the rundown:

The prices on 4″ x 6″ prints range from a phenomenal 9¢ up to 29¢, with an average price of 22¢ and a median price of 19¢. 5″ x 7″ print prices range from just 18¢ up to $2.99, with an average price of 91¢ and a median price of 97¢. 8″ x 10″ prices run from $1.20 to $4.99, with an average of $2.94 and a median of $2.99.
