American Civil War Game Club

One of the passions I have had over the years is playing strategic games. In my youth it was board games, such as Gettysburg from Avalon Hill, among others. When computers first started maturing, these types of games became very popular as they made the tedious calculations automatic, and improved the speed of game play. Today that technology has improved to the point that the armed forces are using those same computer simulations to train the leaders and troops that go in harm’s way to defend our nation.

Today’s site is one that is dedicated to the playing of these games over the Internet. It is called the American Civil War Gaming Club, and is dedicated to playing the war games of the War Between the States. Here you can find opponents, or allies, or teams of allies, and fight to your heart’s content. The games featured here are by TalonSoft and HPS, but the site has no connection to those companies at all, save using their products.
