Freecycle: Be a De-Clutter Magnet

Stuff should be a four letter word. I am finally trying to get de-cluttered and there are things on top of things, stuck to the sides of things and generally taking over where no things should have been before. What do you do with all that extra stuff if you can’t find time for a garage sale or can’t afford to have it hauled away? Freecycle.
Now you can give it all away. Just find a local group, post to their list and let someone who needs that old TV, Grandpa’s golf clubs, outdated computer, tables, chairs, lamps, fabric, guitars, curtains, etc. come to you and pick it up.
The Freecycle Network was started in May 2003 to promote waste reduction in Tucson’s downtown and help save desert landscape from being taken over by landfills. The Network provides individuals and non-profits an electronic forum to “recycle” unwanted items. One person’s trash can truly be another’s treasure!
The network is free and each local club is run by volunteer moderators. You can find local groups easily from the Freecycle site.
Myself, I have a drafting table to give away. I’ve joined my local Freecycle group and will see how fast it moves.
