iPod Subway Maps

The little white MP3 player known as the iPod has taken over the world, and it continues to dominate the market despite other manufacturers attempts at dethroning the popular device. It isn’t just a one-trick pony, either. Several companies and individuals have found ways to extend the functionality of the device to levels that probably even surprised Apple. With the recent news of the hack to play Doom on the iPod, many have been brainstorming to see what they can come up with. One fellow by the name of William Bright decided that he would take the MTA subway map for New York and break the image up so he could put it on his iPod Photo. The result was so helpful that he decided to launch iPod Subway Maps.

In a very short time, this site has exploded with traffic, and new subway maps are being added continuously. The selection isn’t anywhere near being complete yet, but with a little time, and a few user submissions, you just might find a map for your local subway system. And you thought the iPod was only good for listening to music…
