We all have goals to some extent. My goals may be bigger than yours (or vice versa), but that doesn’t matter. Having a list of things that you want to accomplish in life can give you a strong focus in your day-to-day affairs, and encourage you to do things that you may have never even thought you could do. The key is to start small and grow bigger over time. It’s discouraging when you set out to accomplish a goal, only to fail miserably in the end. Having a support group of other individuals with the same motivations is extremely helpful, and that’s what 43 Things is all about.
The 43 in 43 Things is merely the limit to how many goals you can set with the service. That may sound like a lot, but once you get an idea of what other people are trying to accomplish, you’ll probably fill up your list quicker than you imagined. There are some great ideas out there, and you can easily make them your goals, too. When you’ve reached a goal, comment on it and let other people know about your success story. The conversation among the users is mostly inspiring, and it just might encourage you to get off your rump and set some attainable goals.
