You have seen them in action. They are usually where a person who is visually impaired is. The seeing eye dog is an animal that is specially selected for the life-giving tasks of helping them move around in a manner that you and I take for granted. Today we take a look at a site that gives new meaning to the term “a dogs life.”
The Eye Dog Foundation was organized as a non-profit corporation in 1952. Ever since that time, it has been dedicated to giving guide dogs to the blind at absolutely no cost to them. Their German Shepherd Dogs have been assisting blind individuals all over the world with their daily travels.
This site is one that tells about the training program these animals go through, as well as how they are selected, and how the cybervisitor can help. These dogs are provided free of charge to the qualified individuals, and the cost for them is provided solely by voluntary public donations.
