Install A New Font

When you install a new program, it usually comes with its own fonts. For example, when you install Microsoft Office, it has its own fonts. If you search the Web, you will find numerous sites that offer several other fancy fonts, some available for free and some for a small charge.
When you find a new font you want to try, you need to know how to install it. As you can see from the steps listed below, the process is very simple. Before you proceed make sure you close all programs.
- Click Start and click Control Panel.
- Double click the Appearance and Themes applet. If this is not available, switch to category view.
- Under the See Also list, click Fonts.
- From the File menu, click Install New Font.
- Click the appropriate drive from the Drives list.
- Double click the folder that contains the new font.
- Click the font you want to add and Click OK.
