Make One Of Your Favorites Available Offline

A feature known as offline browsing makes Web pages available when you are not connected to the Internet. This means you do not have to connect to the Web to revisit the Web page. One of the benefits of this is that it can reduce connection times. Instead of accessing it from the Web server, you can access it from the cache on your local computer. To do this use the steps outlined below:
- Navigate to your favorite Web page and click Add To Favorites from the Favorites menu.
- Select the folder where you want to store the favorite and place a check beside the option to Make available offline.
- You can further customize your offline browsing by clicking the Customize button. Click Next.
- If the Web page contains links, you can have the links made available offline as well by selecting Yes. Click Next.
- Specify how you want to synchronize offline Web pages. You can do so manually or according to a schedule. Leave the default option selected and click Next.
- If the site requires a password, supply both the username and password. Click Finish.
- Click OK. To close the Add Favorite dialog box.

Just read your snippet on saving webpages to be accessed offline through your favorites. Windows expert zone had a very similar process, but I can’t seem to find the buttons or checkboxes either of you indicated. There appear to be no options for viewing web-pages offline on my machine (IE 7, Windows XP Tablet), just the standard options of cut, paste, open in new tab, properties (no luck there either), etc. Also, there aren’t any options for making the page available when I add the favorite either.
Not sure if this is a help forum, if it isn’t, I’m really sorry. I hate to waste people’s time, I know we’ve all got a lot going. Thanks for a bit of your time.

ditto to the above. The “latest and greatest” IE7 does NOT have an offline storage option. Maybe Bill G. was rushing to go home and count his money that day and forgot to add it.
I’ll try and see if Firefox has this option.

Yeah I have that same problem. “Add to favorites, opens a little window that displays “Name, Create In, New Folder, Add and Cancel”
No make available offline box.
It’s funny I noticed this the other day and now of course I actually need it to work.
