Prevent Users From Accessing IE Privacy Settings

Here is a tip for the more advanced users. Once you have the privacy settings configured in Internet Explorer, you may want to disable access to these settings for all other users so no changes can be made. You can do so through the Group Policy snap-in using the following steps:

  1. Click Start and select Run.

  2. Type gpedit.msc.
  3. Navigate to the following location within the console:
User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Windows Components \ Internet Explorer \ Internet Control Panel.

  4. Double click Disable the Privacy tab and click Enabled.
  5. Click OK.
