Today’s site is really a no-brainer, from my perspective. I usually spend some time hunting for sites that are wide-ranging, interesting, and can appeal to a wide variety of cyber visitors. On some occassions, it is hard, and sometimes it is very easy. Today’s site is one that I have been using for quite a while, and I just never thought about sharing it until a friend asked me a question. For that question, you’ll have to read the rest of the review.

The name of the site is Pocket PC Sites. The question I was asked was by a friend who had just purchased a new HP iPaq Pocket PC, and was looking to use the Wi-Fi to surf the Net. He wondered if there were any sites that catered to the screen dimensions of the PDA, and were useable over a wireless connection. Most Web pages are designed for full size computer screens, and no matter how hard you try, you just can’t always make them fit and be functional on any PDA. But thanks to this site, there is a collection of sites that cater to the PDA crowd, and all are very PDA friendly.

There are a wide variety of categories here, ranging from downloads and eBooks to newsgroups and Wi-Fi. What is interesting is in the Mobile-Formatted section, there are sites that are very common on the Net, but the hosts have created PDA friendly versions, such as UPS Tracking, Amazon.com, Google, MapQuest, and many airlines.
