“You Can Touch It; It’s Acrylic!”

Microsoft seems to have caught the ‘expanding horizons’ bug from Google. The latest project to see the light of day seems to be a paint program to rival that of Adobe, called (right now) Acrylic. Here’s a little of what Microsoft says about the new product (still in beta):
About Acrylic
“Acrylic” is the codename for an innovative illustration, painting, and graphics tool that provides exciting creative capabilities for designers working in print, Web, video, and interactive media.
In any case, the public beta is available by a simple download from its site. Go grab a copy of the 77 meg file from HERE. Be aware that to get this beta, you need a Microsoft Passport. The beta expires in 180 days (about 6 months), but I’d expect a new beta out before that. Here’s a link to CNET’s article on Acrylic.
