Grant Another User Permission To View Your Calendar (Outlook 2003)

Outlook 2003 allows you to let another person view the appointments in your Outlook calendar. You can even grant them permission to add information to your calendar. If you have access to another user’s calendar, you can view it from your computer using Outlook.

You can give another person permission to view and add appointments to your calendar using the steps that are listed below:

  1. Within Outlook, click on the Tools menu and select Options. The Options dialog box will appear.

  2. Select the Delegates tab.
  3. Click the Add button. The Add Users dialog box will appear.
  4. From the Global Address List, select the person you want to grant permission to.
  5. Click OK. The Delegate Permissions dialog box appears.
  6. Use the drop down arrow to select the type of permission you want to grant the user over your calendar.
  7. If you want the user notified, click the Automatically send a message to delegate summarizing these permissions option.
