Logo Tip

As I mentioned previously, I have been asked to evaluate freeware for Lockergnome readers and I ran across a very nice one. I am in the process of building my Web site, which is going slower than I expected. It is going slowly because I want it to be perfect when I publish it, so I am going over it and over it.

While putting it together and trying to get a certain look, I needed to make a logo. Just one. There are plenty of programs that can do this for you, but why spend $30 and up, way up, for a program that you may just need once?

I decided to do a little bit of research and discovered this really cool Web site.
When you are here, you have many options. You can pay to have a logo made for you and there’s all sorts of information about outfits that will do whatever it is you need done.

Here’s the good part for those of us that are not a corporation and simply want a good Web site. You can render a logo or button for download right there on the site. It is somewhat limited as far as choices when it comes to style, but once you get past that, you have a myriad of options. You can choose font, color of the logo letters, background color, file type, and font size. It is a really nice service that it provides, and the people who run the site certainly don’t have to help us, so it is especially cool that they do this. When you are done, you can download the font or button.

If you are looking to make a logo for any reason at all, I give this site high marks. I got a lot of satisfaction using the creative side of my brain and coming up with a logo that I am really happy with AND I impressed myself .

Google for “logos” and go have some fun.
