Editing Your Headers and Footers

As you probable know, you can add headers and footers to your Word documents. You can accomplish this using the Headers and Footers option from the View menu. Type in the text you want to appear or insert any of the available auto text.
Once you have headers and footers in your document, you may decide at some point that you want to edit them. The quickest and easiest way of doing this is to switch to the Page Layout view and double click within the header or footer area. Once you’re done editing the data, click anywhere outside of the header or footer area and you’ll return to the document.
An alternative method is to use the Header and Footer option from the View menu (as you did when you initially created them). Once the Header and Footer dialog box is open, navigate to the text you want to edit and type in the information you want to appear. Once you are done, click the Close button.
