Let’s say that there’s a book that you would really like to buy. Where do you go to purchase it on the Internet? Amazon. How about a CD? Amazon. Movie? Amazon. This online retailer has basically sucked customers in with their all-inclusive shopping experience. They’ve been around for a long time, and people trust and respect the brand. As much as it sounds like I’m kissing corporate booty, you can rely on them to do their job. That’s more than can be said for other online retailers. A service called amaztype makes searching for products on Amazon a little more interesting.
Provide the appropriate details on what you’re looking for, and you’ll then see why this service is so unique. Instead of spitting out a standard list of results, the site scatters images of the results all over the page. You can click on an image to receive an up close and personal look at the picture and the details of the product. The sales rank and rating information is also given to you. If the product looks like a hit and you want to find out more about it, just click on the image again to go directly to the product’s page on Amazon’s site. I love how the site actually spells your search query with the result images. Very nice touch.
