Daily Script

Every story has to start somewhere, and when it comes to movies, the idea begins and is formulated in the mind of the screenwriter. Movie studios can’t do squat unless they have a great script to work from. When you go to the theater to see a flick, you’re seeing the visual interpretation of the story that developed in the writer’s mind. It’s a lot of fun to read through the scripts of some of your favorite movies, and it can be even more fun to read the script for a movie that you haven’t seen in order to “film” the movie in your mind. You can then rent the produced film to see how they executed the script’s instructions. To find some scripts to thumb through, visit Daily Script.

As the name implies, a new screenplay is presented for you each day. If the script of the day doesn’t interest you, browse through their archive to find something that is more your style. The title’s are accompanied by details about who the script was written by, what version it is, and so on. This stuff totally fascinates me.
