One of the most underappreciated factors of computing is the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Without one, we’d be reliving the DOS days. Dealing with a command line and using text for everything can be fun for people who really get into the power user aspect of things, but for most of us, we just want something that works. I used to be a big fan of all the command line resources and such, however, as time progresses, I find that I just want to get what I need to get done quickly and efficiently. If the GUI is both functional and attractive, then you’re really onto something. Operating systems these days come configured with nice GUI elements, but instead of just accepting what you’re given, customize your desktop with some of the resources from InterfaceLIFT.
On top of offering some of the current graphical user interface news, the site also dishes out wallpapers and icons that are worth writing home about. The wallpapers come in a bunch of different resolutions, which means that you’re sure to find a size that fits your screen like a glove. The themes and some of the icons are intended for OS X, but you’ll still find plenty of goodies that will play nice with Windows. Forget a face-lift; get an InterfaceLIFT.
