Use Your PowerPoint Presentation As A Screen Saver

The features of PowerPoint 2002 allow you to create elaborate presentations. If you have a presentation you are particularly fond of, why not use it as your Windows screen saver. It’s also a great way of showing off your presentation to others and can be good for reinforcing ideas presented in a meeting.

In any case, turning your presentation into a screen saver is very simple to do. Open the PowerPoint presentation you want to use. From the File menu, click the Save As option. Select a folder to save the presentation in. From the Save as type box, select Device Independent Bitmap and click Save. Select Every Slide or Current Slide Only and Click OK. You can then close the presentation.

Your next step will be to get your new screen saver going.

  1. Right click a blank area on the desktop and click Properties.
  2. Click the Screen Saver tab and click My Pictures Slideshow.
  3. Configure the amount of time your computer should wait before displaying your screen saver.
  4. Click Settings.
  5. Use the slider to configure the interval between pictures.
  6. Under Use pictures in this folder, locate the folder that contains the presentation you save in the previous steps.
  7. Click OK.
