Different Ways Of Opening Task Manager (2k/XP/2003)

As you will discover when you begin working with Windows, there is often more than one way to perform a task or launch a program. It is usually a matter of picking which method you prefer.

The Task Manager program is no exception. There are three different ways in which you can launch this particular utility.

  1. You can press CTRL + ALT + DEL and click Task Manager from the Windows Security dialog box.

  2. You can right click on the Task Bar and click Task Manager.
  3. You can press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC and Task Manager will open automatically.

I am having Windows XP on my system, I tried to open taskmanager but it says taskmanager was locked by administrator. But I logged in as Administrator only. Also the Run Command in Start Buttons, Folder options are also missing.

Please help me out to sort this issue.

Thanks / regards

you can also hit “windows key + r”, then run “taskmgr” as a command

Thank you…I needed this for school

Task manager used to open with tabs on the top. I hit something and now it just opens in the processes window. How do I fix this?
