As you will discover when you begin working with Windows, there is often more than one way to perform a task or launch a program. It is usually a matter of picking which method you prefer.
The Task Manager program is no exception. There are three different ways in which you can launch this particular utility.
- You can press CTRL + ALT + DEL and click Task Manager from the Windows Security dialog box.
- You can right click on the Task Bar and click Task Manager.
- You can press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC and Task Manager will open automatically.

I am having Windows XP on my system, I tried to open taskmanager but it says taskmanager was locked by administrator. But I logged in as Administrator only. Also the Run Command in Start Buttons, Folder options are also missing.
Please help me out to sort this issue.
Thanks / regards

Task manager used to open with tabs on the top. I hit something and now it just opens in the processes window. How do I fix this?
