Kick The Logon Prompt To The Curb

Q: I’m running Windows 98 on this gloriously old computer of mine, and am sick and tired of receiving the logon prompt when I boot the machine up. It really is useless for me, and I was wondering if you could tell me how to get rid of it for good.

A: This is probably one of the most asked questions that people like me receive. The Windows logon prompt is more of an annoyance than anything else. There are situations where some people may find it to be useful, but if you’d rather have your machine boot straight into Windows without any interference, then you can disable the prompt from appearing.

For the details on how this is done in Windows 95, 98, and ME, check out this page. Hopefully all of the curious users who have been dealing with this for an untold amount of time will see this article and finally learn how to kick the logon prompt to the curb.
