Export Your Address Book (XP Professional/Home)

Windows XP includes an address book that you can use to store all of your contact information. This contact information is made available to different programs such as Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, Outlook, NetMeeting, and so on.

If you want to open the address book, click Start, point to All Programs, Accessories, and click Address Book. The Address Book dialog box will appear, listing all of your current contacts along with their information.

You can easily export the information in your address book. For example, you can export your address book to a Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book or you can export the information into a csv file. In order to accomplish this, open the Windows address book using the steps outlined above. Click File, point to Export, and click Other Address Book. From the dialog box that appears click the file type or the address book you want to export your contact information to. Click the Export button.
