HDDlife is a handy tool that runs in the system tray and monitors the health status of your hard drive(s) that support S.M.A.R.T. technology (almost all modern drives do). If your hard drive supports temperature measurement, it will also display the current temperature. The overall status is indicated by a dynamic tray icon. HDDlife supports only IDE and Serial ATA disks; it does not support RAID disks.

Just run the program and it will show you the list of your disks with the percentage of their health left, as well as their temperature. HDDlife can work in the prophylactic mode when it checks the health of your hard drives at regular intervals and informs you about the results of these checks in an unobtrusive way.
