KaraFun

Karaoke is just one of those things that I try to avoid at all costs. There really shouldn’t be an outlet that allows people who have lost their inhibitions to get in front of a group of people and publicly humiliate themselves. Wait a minute, when put that way, it means that we get to laugh at people, and I’m totally down with that. On second thought, karaoke should exist, just not with me being a part of it. You don’t have to head out to your favorite establishment to take part in an evening of karaoke. Why not take part in the festivities at home with your fellow tone-deaf friends? KaraFun is karaoke software that allows you to create your very own karaoke presentations.

Once you install the software, download a couple of sample songs from this site. The presentations are put together rather nicely, and if you’re into karaoke, this is your software. Singing “House of the Rising Sun” over and over will eventually get boring, and that’s why the program allows you to create your own karaoke songs. By importing your music files and associating the lyrics with the songs, you’ll be well on your way to destroying perfectly good music. The entire process from start to finish will take some time (mainly due to synching the lyrics with the music), but it’s worth the wait. Once you’ve created a bunch of songs, set up the playlist in the KaraFun player and warm up those vocal cords.
